Hello everybody,

Thanks for visiting my site and for your interest.

I love the internet - the endless pursuit of entertaining and educational content. Knowledge and the security of knowing

We who love the theatre were sorely lacking in content in the past. In high school, I subscribed to Dramatics magazine and Theatre Craft - they were the closest thing I could get to theatre gossip in Cincinnati, Ohio. Broadway, in particular the musical, never made it to us in the hinterlands unless it spawned a hit song ("Promises, promises, I'm all through with promises, promises now...") or a movie (Oliver!, Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar) or a very successful national tour that lasted past Boston and Chicago to travel out to our smaller, non-air conditioned Taft Theatre (I think the only one I ever saw was "Dracula" with the Edward Gory sets).

We survived through a network of like-minded people, gossiping after community theatre rehearsals about so-and-so's last trip to New York, listening to original cast albums on vinyl at the library and harassing our local record stores to order less Led Zeppelin and more Les Miserables (actually I loved the Zeppelin just as much, but they were hogging the shelves at Streetside Records).

Now, thank God, we have the Miracle of the information highway! Thru the advent of technology and the genius of our species, we can now find out, with only a few simple keystrokes, what color socks Marc Kudisch wore to the opening night of Carrie! Actually I think Kudisch was still in college when Carrie opened and closed, though (sadly) I can tell you what color socks I was wearing - although then (as now), no one gave a shit.

But I jest, and I digress.

I really do think that one of the things that makes this country great is our right and our ability to find out useless and entertaining bits of information about practically anything we can imagine. America, like the internet, is a great place to waste a little time. God Bless it.

So here, in pursuit of the American dream and in the interest of all us theatre freaks out there who need to know, is the ron bohmer internet site. I hope you're here because at one time or another I've had the honor of entertaining you. That's what I do, it's just about all I do, and it's a good life. Thanks for the applause, that always feels really, really good.

Love and peace,

ps - Love and thanks to kristine kulage and to cyndee llewellyn for creating and maintaining virtually everything you'll find here. They are the best and I don't deserve them.
