  • Ron will return to the New Theatre this summer to take on the role of Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.  He last appeared at the New Theatre in the Summer of 2002 in the production of The Scarlet Pimpernel.  

    Update:  Austin, Ron's daughter, will play Liesl for the second half of the run, beginning August 7th.

Posted 10/15/08 - Saint-Ex Workshop at The Sundance Institute Theatre Lab

  • Ron will be playing the title role of Saint Ex in a reading/workshop of Saint-Ex at The Sundance Theatre Institute, in residence at White Oak, Yulee, Florida.  Saint-Ex features a score by Jenny Giering with book and lyrics by Sean Barry.  Kent Nicholson will direct  Sundance has been instrumental in launching such works as Grey Gardens, Spring Awakening and I am My Own Wife.

    Saint-Ex, according to Sundance notes, "is a musical journey through the life of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the French author and aviator perhaps best known throughout the world as the author of the enduring children's classic, 'The Little Prince.' Saint-Ex is a magical and evocative exploration of Saint-Exupéry's adventures and romances; of his tempestuous marriage to Consuelo de Saint-Exupéry, his Salvadorean wife, and his delight in the brotherhood of the Aéropostale; of the fierce intellect and profound sensitivity of a soul who gave his life fighting for his home and beliefs."

  • Ron returns to the North Shore Music Theatre where he originated the role of Dracula in the US premiere of Dracula: A Chamber Musical.  This time he has been cast as Gaylord Ravenal in the upcoming production of Showboat.  The show is scheduled to run from September 23rd through October 12th.

  • Ron will reprise his role as Coach Bolton in the National Tour of Disney's High School Musical.
